How to choose your diamond — the 4Cs
Cut — controls sparkle. A well-cut diamond reflects light beautifully even at lower colour and clarity grades. Excellent or Very Good cut is the priority.
Colour — D (colourless) to Z (light yellow). G–H is the value sweet spot — appears white in a finished setting but costs noticeably less than D–F.
Clarity — FL to I3. VS1–VS2 stones are eye-clean (inclusions only visible under 10x magnification) and represent the best clarity-to-price balance.
Carat — the diamond’s weight. Pricing is non-linear: a 1 ct stone costs more than two 0.50 ct stones of similar quality. Shape can also make a stone look larger than its weight suggests.
Every Sazuna diamond above 0.18 ct ships with an SGL certificate documenting the 4Cs — an independent third-party record of exactly what you paid for.
Gold karatage options
14K (58.5% pure gold) — the most durable choice. Best for daily wear, men’s rings, and prong settings where stone security matters.
18K (75% pure gold) — the engagement-ring sweet spot. Balances purity with the strength to hold diamonds securely.
22K (91.6% pure gold) — maximum gold content. Ideal for ceremonial pieces and high-purity gifting.

Bridal jewellery planning checklist
Choose your outfit first. The necklace style depends on neckline — bring a photo or sample of the lehenga/saree to the showroom.
Decide between fitted and statement length. Chokers and shorter necklaces flatter heavy embroidery; rani-haars and long necklaces add drama to simpler outfits.
Match the rest of the set. Earrings, mangalsutra, bangles, nath and bridal ring should harmonise — we can plan the whole set together.
Plan lead time for custom designs. Bridal pieces often need 3–6 weeks depending on complexity. Lock in early.
Confirm necklace length. Wedding necklaces are made to a fixed length — we’ll measure you at the showroom before manufacture.
Caring for your wedding necklace
Store separately in a soft pouch to avoid scratching against other jewellery.
Remove before swimming, gym, gardening or any contact with harsh chemicals / chlorine.
Wipe gently with a soft lint-free cloth after wear to maintain brilliance.
Bring your piece to our Kathmandu showroom any time for complimentary cleaning & polishing — lifetime, on every Sazuna purchase.
