• The 4Cs — carat weight, cut grade, colour grade, clarity grade.

• A unique report number — your reference for the specific stone.
• Treatment disclosure if applicable.

How to read your SGL certificate

1. Find the carat weight. Diamond weights are quoted to two decimal places (e.g., 0.52 ct).
2. Find the cut grade. Excellent / Very Good / Good / Fair / Poor. Higher is better — cut controls sparkle.
3. Find the colour grade. D–Z scale. D is colourless; G–H is great value for the look.
4. Find the clarity grade. FL–I3. VS1–VS2 are eye-clean and good value.
5. Check the measurements. Diameter in mm tells you the visual size of the stone.
6. Note the report number. Keep this — it is your reference for this specific diamond.
