How to choose your diamond — the 4Cs

• Cut — controls sparkle. A well-cut diamond reflects light beautifully even at lower colour and clarity grades. Excellent or Very Good cut is the priority.
• Colour — D (colourless) to Z (light yellow). G–H is the value sweet spot — appears white in a finished setting but costs noticeably less than D–F.
• Clarity — FL to I3. VS1–VS2 stones are eye-clean (inclusions only visible under 10x magnification) and represent the best clarity-to-price balance.
• Carat — the diamond’s weight. Pricing is non-linear: a 1 ct stone costs more than two 0.50 ct stones of similar quality. Shape can also make a stone look larger than its weight suggests.

Gold karatage options

• 14K (58.5% pure gold) — the most durable choice. Best for daily wear, men’s rings, and prong settings where stone security matters.
• 18K (75% pure gold) — the engagement-ring sweet spot. Balances purity with the strength to hold diamonds securely.
• 22K (91.6% pure gold) — maximum gold content. Ideal for ceremonial pieces and high-purity gifting.

Choosing the right pendant + chain

1. Pendant size: 0.10–0.20 ct solitaires for daily wear; 0.30–0.50 ct for gifting; 0.50 ct+ for statement pieces.
2. Chain length: 16″ sits at the collarbone, 18″ just below, 20″ mid-chest. Pick by neckline.
3. Setting: bezel-set for sport/active wear; prong-set for maximum brilliance.
4. Match with earrings: if buying as a set, match the centre-stone size of pendant and earrings.

• Store separately in a soft pouch to avoid scratching against other jewellery.
• Remove before swimming, gym, gardening or any contact with harsh chemicals / chlorine.
